Born and raised in Los Angeles, I’ve been a maker of things for longer than I can remember. I’ve worked in different mediums and disciplines and am constantly infatuated with all things visual. I started freelancing while I was still in Art School (private school isn’t cheap), and after earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design I started Aesthetic Assault as a proper side-hustle/small business in addition to my regular 9-5 design job. My clients range from local start-ups and small businesses to larger international brands - media companies, film and entertainment studios, music labels, actors, bands, tech start-ups and more.
I've spent time in-house at several diverse media, marketing and creative agencies, working with Blind Studios in 2006 on a series of national commercial campaigns, after which I spent three years as Sr. Designer/Art Director at Access 360 Media. There I developed tons of environmental branding and in-store marketing collateral, and designed web sites and mobile experiences for brands like Cingular/AT&T, Honda, Quiksilver, and more. In 2009 I started as Sr. Product Designer at Spin Media (formerly BUZZMEDIA), a network of music and pop-culture websites visited by more than 40 million people each month. Here I concepted and designed brand identities for newly acquired celebrity sites and visually overhauled some of the web's most successful entertainment properties and communities.
In 2013 I was recruited as Sr. UI Designer at CBS Interactive, where I helped re-brand a series of websites for the new fall program lineup, and strategically reinforced program branding on CBS.com, and the CBS “All Access” apps on mobile and tablet platforms. After completing a 6-month contract with CBS I accepted a position as Senior Designer in Creative Services at the world’s leading talent agency, Creative Artists Agency. For the past 5 years I’ve managed a team of talented designers and coordinators while working hands-on with agents, partners, and clients, including some of the world’s foremost actors, directors, writers, producers, music icons, athletes and more. As leader of the design-side of a full-service creative department, I design and art direct all CAA-branded marketing efforts, industry event components, and internal and external communications.
As busy as I am most days, I still try to keep some time open for select freelance projects, so if you’re interested in working together shoot me an email and say hey.
